Ingredients
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp mustard powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Optional: Maple syrup (to replace sugar)
Optional: Chopped parsley, sliced green onions, sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place thighs in a single layer on a baking sheet
Roast 35 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F
Meanwhile, mix tomato sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, and Worcestershire sauce
During last 10 minutes of cooking, broil 6 inches from heat source, brushing sauce over chicken
Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Use boneless thighs if preferred – reduce cook time to 25-30 minutes
For maple syrup substitute: replace 2 tbsp brown sugar with 4 tbsp pure maple syrup
Add cayenne pepper to sauce for extra heat
Store leftovers in airtight container up to 3 days
