Description

A sticky, savory-sweet chicken bake with honey and garlic glaze, perfectly roasted to tender perfection. A weeknight favorite that’s easy, flavorful, and kid-approved.

Ingredients

Scale

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
3 tbsp honey
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp water
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, cornstarch slurry, black pepper, and thyme
Place chicken thighs in a roasting pan, skin-side down. Pour half the sauce over chicken
Bake for 35-40 minutes, basting with remaining sauce halfway
Increase oven to 450°F (230°C) and broil for 3-5 minutes until golden and bubbly
Let rest 5 minutes before serving

Notes

For halal/gluten-free option: substitute soy sauce with tamari
Use boneless thighs or breasts—reduce baking time by 15 minutes
Chicken legs are an excellent alternative
Sauce thickens during baking
Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3-4 days
