Description
A quick and flavorful American-Chinese staple combining tender sirloin with crisp broccoli in a savory-sweet soy-based sauce. Restaurants won’t know what hit them. Ready in 30 minutes with easy prep.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp minced ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Scallions for garnish
Instructions
Pat steak slices dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok. Add beef and stir-fry 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the pan. Toss brotholi florets and stir-fry 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
Return beef to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Cook 1-2 minutes to absorb flavor.
Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water. Add to the pan and cook 2 minutes until sauce thickens.
Stir in optional sesame oil. Garnish with scallions. Serve over rice.
Notes
Use lean ground beef if preferred. For extra crunch, add snap peas or carrots with the broccoli.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze sauce separately if storing for meal prep; reheat and mix when ready to serve.
