Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced beef sirloin
12 oz linguine
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
4 garlic cloves, minced
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms (optional, for added veg)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook beef/sirloin until browned. Add garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne; cook 2-3 minutes.
Cook linguine al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
In the same skillet, add heavy cream and cream of mushroom soup (optional). Simmer 3-5 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan until smooth. Add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
Toss pasta into sauce. Fold in cooked beef and spices. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and Parmesan. Use ground turkey as an alternative protein. Gluten-free linguine available. Add veggies like spinach or zucchini for extra fiber.
