A rich and comforting one-pan meal featuring tender chicken, creamy sauce, and perfectly cooked orzo pasta.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
500 g (1 lb) chicken breast, diced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (200 g) orzo
2 cups (480 ml) chicken broth
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
½ cup (50 g) Parmesan cheese
1 cup (150 g) spinach
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons parsley
Instructions
Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden and done. Remove and set aside.
Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
Stir in orzo and toast briefly.
Add broth and simmer until orzo is tender.
Stir in cream and Parmesan.
Return chicken and add spinach. Cook until wilted.
Finish with lemon juice and parsley, then serve.
Notes
Add extra broth when reheating to maintain creaminess.
Use fresh Parmesan for best flavor.
Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
